As part of the Between Christmas and New Year SCALA series of events at Tipo Tango, on 29 December we will be screening a cultural tango film from India: TANGO MALHAR made by director Saya Date.
The programme starts at 7 p.m. with a short film (comedy) made by Kristof Elst (DJ Sabelotodo) called POR UNA CABEZA (finalist in the category “Best Short Film” at the Paris Cinema Royale Festival.)
After the films, we will organise a Milonga with DJ Erdi, which will start around 9 p.m.
Admission to this evening is free, but a voluntary contribution is appreciated. The money will be donated to India to support this project of Saya Date.
About the film TANGO MALHAR:
When Malhar, a rickshaw driver, accidentally discovers Argentine Tango, he finds himself torn between his conservative roots and a group of elite urban dancers. Along the way, he uncovers a profound connection, awakening something beyond his mundane existence.
